Post_11- AcSkills development: Market-forces-tourism (Unit 4B)





Today we'll discuss a model essay about market forces in tourism with you and then share your opinions about a number of thesis statements from the point of view of how well they are written.

Do you remember their features? I can give you a prompt. There are 2 obligatory features and one optional. Try to remember them from what you have studied already and share your ideas with your peers and me.

After that you will have a chance to practise writing a number of thesis statements using the prompts given in the exercise we're going to do.

I hope that these activities will help you to improve your skills in creating good thesis statements

    1. As for us, these place are attractive to tourists because of their picturesque views and rich cultural heritage and destination. In such places you can free your mind, fully feel the atmosphere of nature and human history, learn something new and broaden your horizon. Unfortunately, the presence of man never goes without a trace. People polute the enviroment, build there different hotels, restaurants to get income. The greedy purposes lead to deforestation and damaging animal inhabitancy. To prevent these terrible proccesses it is necessary to make some special laws and to strengthen the protection of these places.

  2. Honestly, we don't know these places but they are connected with nature.
    In the pictures the damage is connected with the rubbish. People pollute the environment by throwing out trash.
    We would impose a fine and put trash cans everywhere.

      To be overstretched means not having enough money, people, equipment, etc.

      To overstrip means to be or become greater in amount, degree, or success than something or someone.
      Example: The demand for food in the war zone now far outstrips supply.
