Hello everyone!
How are you? I'm really good, so I hope you're too.
Today I'd like to share with you useful information about dictionaries that I use.
You know, dictionaries play a very important role in my life, because I study a specialty that involves working with a language. Personally, I prefer to use electronic dictionaries, because they are much more convenient and take less time to search for words.
So, the most significant dictionary for me is the Cambridge Dictionary. In that dictionary, I look for the meaning of words and their use. I like its fullness, clarity and design.
The second is the Reverso Context. Often, without a context, a word or phrase cannot be translated, but this dictionary helps to cope with this task.
The last but not least is the Thesaurus. As I've already mentioned, I often work with the language and write various essays. That is why I need to know and use many synonyms and this dictionary helps me with it.
Finally, these are all dictionaries that I use in daily life. I hope you enjoyed my post. Also, perhaps you can advise me something else?
Waiting for your feedback!
Love,
Lisa

Thanks for sharing the information about your favourite dictionaries. Your explanation about when you use which of them when is quite helpful. Thanks. But I have a couple of questions:
ReplyDeleteWhat steps do you take before you actually use a word or an expression in your speech or writing?
Also, how do you decide which of these dictionaries to use?
