Task 11. Vera Murashova

The word “plagiarism” create really bad associations. Thus, not to be involved in problems connected with this scarifying term, let us consider about (PREP) it.

First, as Natalia Yuryevna has already mentioned, plagiarism means "claiming the others' ideas and ways of expressing them as your own".

However, what is interesting is that you can be caught in plagiarism even if you do not suppose > suspect that cheating. You may think that the information you have found in (prep) > on the Internet and added in your essay is really short but very useful and cannot be replaced by any other sentence, while the teacher does not think so.

Nevertheless, during the lesson we have discussed possible variants (WW) > ways to prevent our essays from containing plagiarism, and the best way is to use websites which are to help us with this.

I have chosen https://copyleaks.com/?utm_campaign=elearningindustry.com&utm_source=%2Ftop-10-free-plagiarism-detection-tools-for-teachers&utm_medium=link . And now, after a week using this website (Struct) > having used this website for a week, I can say for sure, that I really like it.

First of all, it helps not only businessmen to check out their works but also students. It consists of different sections, which helps you not to get confused.

Secondly, it is possible to use the app of this website on your phone, which is very convenient for me as a person without a computer.

Moreover, this app has a very useful function  (Struct) to scan art content without rewriting the sentences.
However, despite all the pros there is a very huge disadvantage. There is a free page restriction, this means that you can use only the first ten pages for free.

To sum up, despite the cons that I have found, I like this website and I think that I would use it when it would be necessary to check out my works or essays.

  1. Thanks for reviewing this app. You have explained its features rather well. It seems to me that with the help of this task you have gained a better idea about what plagiarism is and how to avoid it in your own works. Let me hope that it's indeed so.
