draft. Arina Evstigneeva

Laughter is the best medicine. Do you agree?
For me, the laughter is an important part of my life. I am a sociable and cheerful person by nature and, that’s why, you can often see me laughing or telling something to my friends.

So, why laughter is called medicine? I can give a supportive example from my own experience. My best friend is often depressed and she needs in moral support. In that case, I make her laughing and it’s a win-win situation.

Besides, I would like to give one more supportive example which is related to science.
Dr. Henri Rubinstein wrote that the therapeutic properties of laughter are difficult to overestimate. In confirmation, he gave a number of cases where the treatment of laughter saved his patients.
One day a woman came to him who had been drugging herself for years. The doctor prescribed her a course of Buster Keaton and other American comedians, and the lady watched films with their participation every evening. After a few months, her body was so used to the natural stimulant that the drugs were completely discontinued.

Humour is a powerful and effective way to heal resentments and disagreements. Laughter unites people during the difficult time. Thus incorporating more humor into your daily interactions can improve the quality of your relationships with people around you.
