Task 6_Ekaterina Potemkina
Hello everyone!Welcome to my blog!
Today my blog is devoted to the most useful thing for learning languages.I'm talking about dictionary. Indeed, dictionaries are an indispensable thing not only for professional linguists, but also for ordinary people who are interested in languages. Nowdays ,there are a lot of different types of dictionaries ,and sometimes it's difficult to choose one that is better for you. I can say that I usually use three dictionaries that seem better for me :
1).Cambridge Dictionary
This dictionary was recommended to us by a phonetics teacher last year. It's my favourite. In Cambridge dictionary you can see the definition of the word in English and how this word is used in sentences. Also you can see the transcription of the word and hear
how a native speaker utters this word.
2).Macmillan Dictionary
This dictionary is quite similar to the previous one.But in this dictionary you can see synonyms and related words(it helps to avoid using the same word twice) .It 's very comfortable and useful when you create your text ,for example.
3).Reverso Context
It's a very useful app for your phone. It translates forein word into your native language and gives different examples with the word .
I hope this information about dictionaries was interesting for you.By the way ,what dictionaries do you prefer to use?How often do you use dictionaries?Do you find dictionaries a useful way to learn languages?
Thank you for your attention!

Hello Kate, Russia thanks for sharing the information about the dictionaries you use. You've explained rather well what dictionaries you use how. Can you explain how you decide which one to use and what do you do before start using a new word? Surely, you use these dictionaries but it'd be useful to learn in more detail about the steps you take.
