A Reflective Note
Today I would like to share with you my impressions about the activities we have been offered this semester. I think it was very useful. I learned a lot of new information, for example, how to write blog posts, how to avoid plagiarism. I improved my writing skills. I expanded my vocabulary by using special apps and reading articles from "The Guardian". It was really interesting to read articles from "The Guardian" because I learned a lot of amazing stories, events, facts, and informative news. It is a really great source of information. This course introduced me to the useful site https://sentence.yourdictionary.com. It helps me understand the meanings of words, their collocations. Also, I enjoyed teamwork in the classroom. I can't say that something in our activity was useless. Our exercises and tasks were important and helpful. But in the next semester I would like to have more discussions and talks in the classroom. It would be great to discuss such topics as education, social networks, hobbies, and success and failure . Besides, I would like to learn how to analyze works of other students and how to comment on their essays correctly. In conclusion, I want to say that our classes were very effective.
Hello Alina,
ReplyDeletethanks for your reflection. I was glad to learn that for the most part the 1st semester of the course was quite useful and interesting for you. It's great that you started using some of the resources I've shared with you. Thanks for the suggestions you have made. Of course, we'll discuss some of the topics you have mentioned as they are all quite interesting for discussion, particularly from the students' perspective. I'll also plan to give you more practice to you and your peers in analysing your peers' works. Your willingness to learn to do It deserves special praise because not everybody finds it useful. However, as I mentioned several times this activity must bear fruit and in the end it can become a very useful tool for you.
