Everyone agrees that doing exercises is a good thing to human's body. It helps people's metabolism working better, therefore people can live a much longer life than people could in a period when exercises weren't so popular and so available to everybody. Nowadays every other person has gym membership and goes to a fitness center couple times a week. It's so widely spread now that no one even stops to think whether it's such a good thing to do for everyone or it can hurt someone. Even scientists are not really sure what exactly exercises do to people's body. So, the problem is whether exercises are good for the human's health or they are not the thing that every person should do.

The positive aspect is always the best thing to start with. What are the positive sights of doing sport? There are plenty of them. People can find friends or just become more active in their social life. It's a serious benefit of doing sport, but, obviously, doesn't correspond with the main theme of my essay. As for health, I've already mentioned such a bonus for our body as acceleration of metabolism, but now I'd like to be more precise. So, muscle cells are people's consumer of energy in our body. They need energy to work well. People get energy with calories from food, and burn calories with all the processes in our body like breathing or digesting food and, of course, with exercises. For the body it's important to have enough muscle mass to function properly; otherwise, muscle cells will be substituted by fat cells. On the whole, if person want his body function in a proper way and they don't want to gain extra weight, they should do some exercises, at least, a couple times a week.

Thing that can prevent some people from doing sport is the fact that scientists still don't know how exactly sport affect human's body. Despite the fact that sport has been popular for several decades since the late 1980s, I think, people of science haven't already figured out what it does to the body. They find out that sport help the metabolism work better, but it's not enough to see the whole picture. The metabolism is vitally important, but it's definitely not the one and only important thing. What about the skeleton? Does sport help bones be stronger or it just speed up the process of their destruction? There are so many questions and no clear answers to them.

Despite all the benefits and controversial things that exercises can give people, the thing in which I'm absolutely sure is that while it's not so clear whether the sport is that good to the human's health people should do sport if they really want to. While person enjoys the activity s/he does there can't be that bad consequences for the health as the way people think affect the state of health. If a person doesn't really keen on sport and it's a torment for her/him, it's okay not to do it at all, because I don't think that it's the thing that a person can't live without. The benefits of exercises'll be a topic for discussion until scientist form their authoritative opinion about it.
