Student life.
Sometimes studying in the university can be different from what you are used to do at school. As for me the hardest aspect in the NSU is self-education. Only 20% of matirial is given by teachers, more often you have to read and study by yourself. Maybe it is a feature of humanitarian education, because we do not need to solve puzzles and listen to the explanation of the formulas. Well, anyway, only time managment will help to deal with the amount of material.
Unfortunately, the circumstences of such studying are driving you into a trap. It was an unpleasant surprise for me. I expected that after school I will have more free time for a job or hobbies, but I have not. honestly, I can understand it and at the same time cannot. I can accept that the education takes a lot of time, but if I get my knowledge at home, for what should I be at the university 6 days a week? May be once I will understand.
My surprise is related to my experience at school. There people have to spent a huge part of there time. School teachers are in a very close relationships (WNum) with kids and their famylies, well, at my school they are. All of the theoreticaly information is given by teachers, at home you do only practice. At the same time you have little responsabilities and your parents can help you at any time. Now everything is different.
Hello Liza,
can you explain why you have written 2 posts on the same topic? I've commented on the other one. Is this one similar? As far as I can judge, it is. But maybe you can clarify the situation to me? I've highlighed the words you either spelt wrongly or used incorrectly. Can you revise your post?

Hello Liza,
ReplyDeleteI read your post with interest because it gives the readers, including me, a good idea about your concerns as a university student. I wonder how you arrived at the figure 20% when referring to how much material Ts present to you in class? Did you read about it somewhere? If yes, you need to give a reference to the resource from which it is taken. If it's your own estimate, then you need to explain how you calculated it. I was surprised that you thought the amount of work at the university would be less than at school. Did I understand you correctly? I'm sorry if not, then explain it to me again, can you?
Would it be right to say that you think the university system of classes should be changed? If yes, how? If no, what system you would prefer?
Gr: what you **are (WTense) used to do at school > this sentence is about the past
Gr: the hardest aspect **in (PREP) the NSU > you need to add the hardest aspect of doing what?
Vocab: "to solve puzzles" is not quite appropriate in this context. Actually, you need to explain to me in more detail what you meant here for me to help you
All of the ***theoreticaly (WF) information
have little ***responsabilities (WNum): here the word is Uncountable; also you've spelt it wrongly
