A Reflection Note. Burdina Elizaveta

I would like to start by saying that the academic writing course perfectly complements the program of studying English.

Thanks to the course I began to study more about the world and important things by reading interesting articles. It was a big surprise for me that some information I can find only in foreign resources. Moreover, I had a good opportunity to practice my grammar, lexis, reading and of course writing!

From this course I learned how to use citation machine and how to write a summary without plagiarism, what I have found useful due to entry of coursework into our program.

Sometimes I feel confused because some topics were too wide for me or I have no idea what should I write or how. It will be great if in future we will have more concrete themes or have a discussion before writing.

Anyway, I liked the most the idea to share our works with groupmates and learn something new from our topics and thoughts. Also  leaving question in your blog or comments helps to expand a look at different topics and learn to listen to others. Some topics were unexpectedly important to me.

What I would like to learn is how to write some serious articles, reviews and maybe where can I introduce myself as a discussion participant.

  1. Hello Liza,

thanks for your course reflection which gives a good idea about the things you have enjoyed doing and the things you had difficultes with. Still I can see some evident progress in the development of your writing skills and hope you'll be able to further improve them in the future based on what you have learned to do this year. And I'd like to wish you good luck with it.
