A Reflection Note_Potemkina Ekaterina

A Reflection Note
Another semester is almost over, so it's time to take stock. I can confidently say that  I liked the course. And here some reasons why:

First of all, I liked the way we worked. For me, as a person who does not like to write by hand, typing in a blog was not only convenient ,but also interesting. No doubt, my writing skills have improved thanks to this course. This can be seen by comparing my previous works, for example works in the first year, and the current works. Also, I liked that the course was not limited to learning the strict rules of writing in English . I think everyone will agree with me that while studying, it is difficult to find time just to read, not a textbook, but something that you are really interested in. But this course gave me such an opportunity.  As part of my homework, I read about interesting events, news that happened in the world, and then shared my impressions with my classmates. So, I really liked it.
As for me, the course was really useful. All tasks somehow helped us in learning the intricacies of the language. So, it's hard for me to say what was useless on the course. However, I would add something. For example, it would be interesting if during the course there were more tasks for oral discussion of topics. I think it may help to perceive the material better. I would also  add a few topics for discussion: for example, traditions of different Nations, travel, work abroad.

In conclusion , I want to say that this course was useful and really interesting  for me. During this course, I not only improved my writing skills, but also learned a lot of new and interesting things.

  1. Hello Katya,

I'm glad that you found the course interesting and useful. It is good to know that it helped you to improve your writing skills and also gave a chance to learn about a variety of interesting topics. I hope that you'll be able to build upon the knowledge and skills you acqured this year in the future and would like to wish you good luck with it.

Thanks for your suggestions about some topics for discussion in the future. I think they'll be useful to discuss, so I'll ask my students next year to write about some of them.

Good luck with your studies in the future!
