A Reflection Note by Vera Murashova

A Reflection Note

To begin with, I’d like to say that the academical writing course has changed a lot. (In spite of the fact that I have missed some classes.) It tought me to write essays correctly, to share my thoughts freely, to think in unusual, creative way, and so on.

Here are some of my ideas:

It was very useful to work with different topics which are not connected with the university and studying.

Frankly speaking, sometimes it was difficult to understand how to make out some works in a correct way; however, academical writing course helped me to avoid these problems.

Moreover, I would like to read the essays I wrote one year ago and try to find different mistakes.

After this course I got to know how to use the citation machine, how to incorporate quotes and lots of other interesting and helpful things. And I would like to practice more to develop my writing.

By the way, the idea of writing in our own blogs was very interesting. I really like this way of sharing our essays where not only a teacher can read and analyze it but also our groupmates. Besides, I like the idea of making comments and discussing there some interesting topics or arguable questions.

To sum up, I am really greteful that we have such an interesting course!

  1. Hello Vera,

thanks for your note. It has given me a good idea about the aspects of this course that were useful. As I mentioned before, it's very good to know you found reading your peers' works beneficial. Also, your idea of rereading your works in a year is very good because it gives you a chance to see how your skills have developed and what has changed.

I'm glad you are planning to continue improving your writing skills in the future and wish you good luck with it! It'd be wonderful if you shared some of your future works with me because I am always interested in how my students keep on developing.

    Wish you good luck!
