Today I'd like to write about such urgent issue as preservation of our environment.
According to an article in Guardian magazine, experts agree that global heating of 4C by 2100 is a real possibility. The effects of such a rise will be extreme and require a drastic shift in the way we live.
At first glance it may seem that changing the weather by four degrees may even be for the better. However, after reading this article, I learned that this leads to increased greenhouse gas emissions. The level of the World Ocean will rise by half a meter in 100 years, moreover, the salinity of the water will change. The air will become more humid. Precipitation will begin to fall more intensively, their distribution will change, and the threshold of maximum temperatures will also increase. Glacier melting will accelerate.Global warming will affect weather patterns: winds and cyclones will increase and increase in frequency. Natural disasters, such as floods and hurricanes, will occur more regularly, and their scale will increase significantly.
For me, the information was shocking and as a result I realized that preserving our environment is the work of each of us. To prevent this, we must recycle waste, increase the amount of green space, use energy-saving devices and appliances.
All in all, , each of us should involve more people in studying this problem. It is worth noting that even before that I had heard about possible global warming, but it was from this article that I learned about its presuppositions and consequences. All information has been filed clear and interesting. Accordingly, it is good that such articles are published, which make us think about the future of our society.

ReplyDeleteindeed the topic of environmental protection is very urgent, so I am glad that you chose it and amd glad you have learned smth you did not realise before from it.

Organisation: I am puzzled by the way you organised your work. As I explained several times it is common to summarise smth you read using the template I shared with you back in the end of the year. However, for some reason you did not do it.

ReplyDeletethe task was to write a summary. What you have written is an essay. Summaries are written differently. They only contain the maih ideas of what is summarised and are much shorter in length. Usually up to 1/4th of the original article.
